The Heroes and Zeroes - Paladin
Some parents name their children after a role model, Paladin's weren't quite so creative so instead they named him after a job description in the hopes their boy would grow up to be the very best paladin he could be. They sent him to all the right schools, made him worship all the right gods and read his prayer books every night.
Fortunately for them it turned out their little darling did have the gift and he swiftly turned into the hen pecked delusional wannabe hero we know him as today. A son who has made his parents proud by founding a Fraternity for True Heroes... and not just any Fraternity for True Heroes, one which has gold plated letters on the sign above the archway.
